Order Policies - House of Make Believe - Costumes in Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Florida

Prior to placing an order, we ask that read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions, known as the Order Policies. By placing an order with us either on website or by phone, you are making a fortified statement of agreement to all Terms and Conditions herein and hyperlinked to, which will be legally binding. If you do not agree with any portion of the Terms and Conditions as posted herein or hyperlinked to, we ask that you do not place an order with us.

 

1. Order Information

Prior to placing your order, please be sure to read the following:

How To Place An Order - We accept online orders through our online ecommerce order system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We also accept credit card orders over the phone via our Toll Free Order Line: 1-727-446-1890. We accept credit card phone orders Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm EST. Under no circumstances will we accept Money Order, Certified or Bank Check payment optioned orders over the phone. These types of orders MUST be placed online on our automated order system, where you can select the appropriate payment method.

Pre-Sale Communications - We'd love to hear from you if you have pre-sale question or concerns. Please feel free to call our customer service line Monday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm EST for further assistance. If you are ready to place an order, simply do so by clicking on the Add to Order button on the item's description page, which will enter that item into our automated online shopping cart system, or simply give us a call Toll Free 1-727-446-1890.

Your Order Number - When placing an order online, upon completion you will be transfered to a confirmation page that will have the order number in large bold type. Please make note of this order number, or better yet, print out the computer screen as instructed. You will also receive several confirmation emails that will also include your order number. Please print these emails and save them as back ups in a seure location on your computer. Your order number is the key piece of information we need to know who you are and what you ordered. Without the order number we are limited to information we can look up on our system,

Post-Sale Communications - Even after you placed your order, we'd still love to hear from you if you have post-sale question or problem with your order. Please feel free to call our customer service line Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm EST for further assistance. Please have your valid order number handy as we can only look up orders with this order number.

 Lost Order Numbers (Credit Card Payments) - So you lost your order number huh? That's okay, we're all human. But unfortunately we don't have a way of looking up your order without the order number.  You may also want to check your emails as we send a variety of emails that include the order number as well as the payment processor sending you a confirmation email too.

Dispute Resolutions - In the event a problem does arise, we will do our best to resolve the issue at hand, providing you provide a valid order number so we can track and confirm all aspects of your order, including payment, credits, shipping, returns and pre-orders. Without an order number we can not confirm payments or shipments. As for resolutions regarding damaged, non-working or defective merchandise, please review our Return Policies.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason.

 

2. Merchandise Information

Prior to placing your order, please be sure to read all information available for the product(s) your interested in. make note of any products that are either pre-orderable or in-stock. Also note sizing details.

In-Stock Merchandise - We make every effort to ship in-stock merchandise in 1-3 business days. From time to time we encounter problems that interfere with our ability to ship within that time frame. If this is the case we will notify the customer and provide an estimated ship date. We do-not guarantee shipping dates unless the customer selects and pay for the optional Rush Shipping Service.

Sometimes there are delays, and by placing an order on our website, you agree that you will accept the delay in receipt of merchandise as long as it is received 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the intended holiday. We will do the best we can to get you the merchandise just as soon as possible. Once we get the merchandise in, we will start shipping it within 24 hours of receipt.

Now, the benefit of ordering online is that you will get sale pricing (if applicable) and be one of the first to receive the merchandise when they arrive. Again, once the merchandise is arrived in our warehouses, we process all online shipments first. If the merchandise is in stock and you simply don't want to wait your turn for shipping out your order and you decide to cancel your order, you will be charged a 10% restocking fee in addition to the $5.95 cancellation fee.

Out Of Stock Merchandise - Very often we sell out of merchandise. If the item is sold out and not available then more then likely the item will be back in stock closer to it's respective holiday.  The best thing to do is book mark the item's description page and check back from time to time to see if they are back in-stock or available for pre-order. Please refrain from sending us emails in regards to when we will get a specific design in stock. We have a high regard for customer satisfaction; if an item is out of stock or season please call customer service 1-800-367-1142, if it s an urgent need.

Merchandise Pricing - Most of our merchandise is priced at the suggested retail price. From time to time we do offer specials or clearance pricing. These prices are posted on our website. We will not adjust pricing for any reason. Once a sale is made at a price, and the order has shipped, we will not adjust the price if the item goes on sale, just as we would not expect you to pay more if the price is raised. We reserve the right to change pricing as we see fit. Price increase/decrease is based on the product availability and product demand.

If you see merchandise on our website we suggest you order it right away and do not hesitate. You may just come back and find that it is sold out or that the prices raised.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order for any reason.

 

3. Payment Information

We accept the following forms of payment payable in US Dollars only. Please review our Payment Information

All Major Credit Cards - All payments made by credit card must be from those customers with a regular street billing address. We will not accept orders from P.O. Box billing address. As per our payment processing provider policies, we must ship to the credit card billing address. We ship UPS, therefore we can not ship to a P.O. Box Address.

Paypal Instant Payment Transfer - All payments made by Paypal.com must be from those customers with a confirmed street address. We will not accept orders from non-confirmed addresses or those containing a P.O. Box address. As per Paypal's policies, we must ship to the confirmed address. We ship UPS, therefore we can not ship to a P.O. Box Address.

Personal or Business Checks Online - We accept all US Personal and/or Business Checks made payable in US Dollars only. We use a 3rd party payment provider to perform verification and cashing of funds via a Secured Online Gateway. Bounced checks are subject to a minimum $50 fee or 15% of the check amount (whichever is greater) and possible criminal actions.

Money Orders - We accept all US Money Orders made payable in US Dollars only. Please remember to include your order number on your payment, otherwise your payment will not be processed and the money order will be destroyed and discarded. We will not be liable for any costs resulting from non-cashed, stop payments or lost or destroyed money orders.

Certified or Bank Checks - We accept all Certified & US Bank Checks made payable in US Dollars only. Please remember to include your order number on your payment, otherwise your payment will not be processed and the check will be destroyed and discarded. We will not be liable for any costs resulting from non-cashed, stop payments or lost or destroyed check payments.

Yes, you can call us with your Visa, Mastercard or Discover payment. However, we will ask you for the Credit Card billing address, and we will confirm it and ship to that confirmed address only. A $2.95 Order Processing Fee will be applied to all phone orders.

All orders must be paid in full at time of placing order, including pre-orders.

 

4. Shipping Information

We ship to the Continental United States only. This means we cannot and will not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. protectorates and territories, or APO/FPO addresses. We ship via UPS in either their retail packaging, or in our reshipper packaging.

All orders are shipped to the buyers "confirmed or billing address" as provided by PayPal or credit card bank. We will ship to alternate addresses for those of you paying by Money Order. No exceptions!

All items are shipped Insured if requested and trackable as a default at no extra charge. All items are shipped via UPS... therefore we can not ship to a P.O. Box address.

 

5. Order Cancellations

Yes, you can cancel your order at any time prior to the order or merchandise being shipped without penalty or cost. NOTE: No cancellations accepted on custom/special ordered items. To cancel an order, have your order number available and contact our Customer Support Center at 1-800-367-1142 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you.

If you decide to cancel an order after the order or merchandise has shipped... Please await the arrival of the item. When you receive the item contact our Customer Support Center at 1-727-446-1890 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you. You will be able to cancel the order and we will refund in full less any credit card or paypal transaction fees and any shipping fees that may have been incurred, plus a $5.95 order processing fee

and a 10% restocking fee. All returned merchandise must be unopened.

Do not just refuse shipment. Refused or undeliverable shipments will be subject to a restocking fee of 20%, plus applicable shipping charges both ways and processing fees will apply.

Any stopped payments will be seen as internet fraud, and we will prosecute to the full extend of the law.

After the item is delivered, it is then considered as "Final Sale".

Return Policies

Prior to returning merchandise, we ask that read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions, known as the Return Policies, part of the Order Policies. By placing an order with us either on website or by phone, you are making a fortified statement of agreement to all Terms and Conditions herein and hyperlinked to, which will be legally binding. If you do not agree with any portion of the Terms and Conditions as posted herein or hyperlinked to, we ask that you do not place an order with us.

 

1. Warranties

Product warranties are limited to those provided by the product manufacturer. The House of Make Believe (HOMB) companies makes no other warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any Warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. HOMB shall have no liability to customer or any other person or entity with respect to any liability, loss or damage arising out of or connected with the merchandise including, but not limited to, any claim for incidental or consequential damages, regardless of any warranty included with the merchandise. Please refer to manufacturer's warranty included with the merchandise to determine the remedies available in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship.

 

2. Defect in Materials or Workmanship

All items are inspected by the manufacturer prior to packaging. Upon receipt, we suggest you immediately open the merchandise and make sure it is in working order. In the event you do receive a defective item, you will need to make a claim within 48 hours of receipt. Please contact our Customer Support Center at 1-727-446-1890 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA Number) so you can return the item for a replacement only.

No claims will be accepted beyond 48 hours.. In the documentation included with the merchandise, you will find a Toll Free number that you can call in the event there is a problem.

Please note, it is the customer's responsibility to pay for the shipping of the returned item back to us in the event a return and replacement is requested.  The customer is responsible for the replacement shipping cost.  Be assured that you obtain a RMA number prior to sending us a return as we will not accept any returns without a RMA Number.

 

3. Damaged Shipments

We suggest that all orders are shipped insured. It is your responsibility to select and pay for insurance during the check out process. Insurance will cover you from loss or damage as a result of shipping.

All items are inspected prior to packaging. We take great care to ensure your orders are well packed to prevent damage in transit, however sometimes damage does occur. If a product arrives damaged please notify the UPS driver and have them make a notation of the damage on the delivery receipt. You should then contact UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS and file an insurance claim. if you paid for insurance. Just so you know, all cartons and packing materials must be saved for inspection by the UPS Inspector.

If you should select not to insure your shipment, The House of Make Believe nor UPS shall have no liability to customer for lost or damaged shipments. So we suggest that you insure your order. Even if your thinking you never had a problem... there's always a possibility of a problem. Nothing is guaranteed.

 

4. Order Cancellations

Yes, you can cancel your order within 48 hours of placing the order and prior to shipping without penalty or cost. To cancel an order, have your order number available and contact our Customer Support Center at 1-727-446-1890 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you.

All cancellations after 48 hours (excluding Sunday) prior to being shipped will incur a $5.95 cancellation fee.

If you decide to cancel an order after the order or merchandise has shipped but prior to receiving the item... Please await the arrival of the item. When you receive the item contact our Customer Support Center at 1-727-446-1890 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you. All cancellation requests must be done on the same day the item(s) are received. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will be able to cancel the order and we will refund in full less any credit card or paypal transaction fees and any shipping fees that may have been incurred, plus a $5.95 order cancellation processing fees and a 10% restocking fee. All returned merchandise must be unopened.

WARNING: If you decide to cancel, and the item has shipped... do not just refuse shipment. Refused or undeliverable shipments will be subject to double shipping fees to cover shipping charges both ways. Restocking fees (20%) and payment processing fees will also apply. If you decide to stop payment we will consider it as internet fraud, and we will prosecute to the full extend of the law. The customer is responsible for all shipping cost to and from our warehouse and restocking fees.

After the item is delivered, it is then considered as "Final Sale" unless the item is defective. If you should decide to cancel an order after the merchandise is received, we may accept a return or cancellation at our sole discretion. All acceptable returns will be subject to any payment fees, shipping fees and a 20% restocking fee.

Again, we will accept a return if merchandise is defective in which case you must make a claim within 24 hours from time of receipt (excluding Sunday).

Be assured that you obtain a RMA number prior to sending us a return as we will not accept any returns without a RMA Number.

We are not in the business of shipping merchandise so you can look at it and return it. If you don't want it... don't order it.

All cancellations after 48 hours and prior to shipping will incur a $5.95 cancellation fee.

 

5. Product Returns

Prior to returning an item, please read all the policies above and then contact our Customer Support Center if necessary at 1-727-446-1890 or send us a notice on our Contact Us page and we will be happy to assist you.

If your return is authorized, you will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA Number). After you receive the RMA Number please follow these instructions:

1.        Write us a short note describing the problem and include the letter with the merchandise.

2.        Re-package the merchandise to be returned in a cardboard box. ITEMS RETURNED MUST BE IN ITS ORIGINAL UNOPENED PACKAGE. If you do not the item will not be re-sellable and the item will be returned as it will no longer be accepted as a return.

3.        Seal the package securely for shipping

4.        Write your RMA Number in large type on the outside of the package.

5.        Ship the item to us at the address below via UPS ONLY.

6.        You will be required to insure the shipment as well.

7.        Make note of tracking information for future reference.

Be assure to ship UPS - United Parcel Service, as we will not accept any other shipments. Be assured to follow the directions above. If the packages are not addressed as above, UPS will not deliver it.

3.        We will not accept a return by any other shipping carrier other then UPS.

4.        It is the customer's responsiblty to pay for the shipping of returned merchandise.
